The demographic pyramid is reversing in many countries due to a rise in aging population and longer life spans. More people are choosing to retire later or continue to work after retirement. It is to be noted that most career development theories are centered around students to mid-career professionals, and do not recognize retirement as a career development stage. Even in countries where governments and employers recognize this shift, older job seekers and retirees still need support in viewing employment through a different lens and what it looks like for them, at this stage in their career.

This session offers an opportunity to exchange ideas and approaches on how existing frameworks are being adapted and innovative approaches applied, to support older clients pursue growth, meaning, and success in the next chapter of their lives.
