Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping career development practice and the delivery of guidance services. As AI-enabled systems and related digital tools become increasingly integrated into career guidance and counselling, they raise pressing questions about ethics, trust, accountability, and professional responsibility.

Drawing on international research and professional frameworks, including the IAEVG Ethical Guidelines, this session explores what ethical practice means in the AI era and how career practitioners can engage with AI critically and confidently.

Participants will gain insights into strengthening AI-era competence and ethical awareness as essential dimensions of professional identity and responsibility. Through examples and discussion, we will consider how career professionals can evaluate and use AI-driven tools responsibly and apply ethical standards consistently in evolving practice contexts.
