How should society, mindsets, and worldviews change so that career practitioners, employers, and communities better adjust services, policies, technology, and support for their older community members and workers? Understanding the worldviews, challenges, assumptions, mindsets, and cultural differences towards elders is vital.
Retaining knowledge within the workforce is essential and so it is important to highlight to employers how older workers can be valuable trainers and mentors. Older community members and those within the workforce are not burdens, they are valuable contributors with experience and knowledge to give.
