APCDA Recorded Webinar

An Islamic Framework for Ethical Career Development

by Muhammad Basit Rana (MBR HR WALAY)

Recorded on February 13, 2026

Career development is often discussed in terms of skills, employability, progression, and success. Within the Islamic worldview, however, career is understood as a moral and purposeful journey that unfolds across stages of responsibility, accountability, and consequence. This session introduces a concise Islamic framework that views career through three existential phases: the stage of action, the stage of accountability, and the stage of outcome. Rather than focusing only on halal and haram professions, the framework emphasizes intention, ethical conduct, and responsibility as central to career decision-making. Designed for a global and multi-faith audience, the session connects Islamic ethical thought with contemporary career development principles such as meaningful work, ethical practice, and long-term impact. Participants will gain a structured lens to understand how faith-based worldviews can enrich modern career practice without conflict or exclusion.
